Blessing Day

I feel so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends that support us. We blessed the babies this past weekend and it was so fun to visit and spend some time with them. We had a barbeque Saturday night, Tony made dutch oven ribs, they were really good, and we visited and the kids played. Then Sunday we all went to our Sacrament meeting for the twins blessings. They looked so beautiful in their dresses and were so happy. They did great. Tony blessed them and the blessings were so touching and sweet. My favorite part was that they are fighters because of the circumstances they were born. Tony did a good job. It was our testimony meeting and Tylin had set a goal to bear her testimony. I told her she could if she did it all by herself. I was so proud of her as she stood up there, she bore a very sincere testimony. It was a great day. We had a lunch afterwards and even had decent weather. Thank you to everyone who came and supported us, and for making the long trip to come see the babies. We really appreciate it. Love you all.

Catching up

It has been a busy couple of months and so I am trying to catch up on my blogging. The babies are doing great. They are almost 4 months old now and smiling a lot. It is so fun to play with them. They are both 12lbs 5 oz and trying to roll over. Tylin has a couple more weeks of school and then it is summer break, which I am really looking forward to. We have done some fun things over the past couple of months. We went fishing at the Clearwater River in Idaho with my parents, Dawn, Morgan and James. It was so fun to see Morgan’s kids. Especially Scotty since that was the first time we got to meet him, and Penny is such a sweetie, I love playing with her. We took our trailer and camped. It was a little bit crazy having 3 newborns together but they actually did very well and we didn’t lose too much sleep. The boys did great fishing. I think Tony’s last count was 28. We got to take our traditional baby and steelhead pictures, the babies weren’t too excited about that. It was a fun trip. Then the beginning of May we went to Boise to Scotty’s blessing. It was neat because my whole family got to go. It was fun to visit and play with the kids. There was a pool at the hotel and I think that was the kids favorite thing to do. Sunday we all went to a park after the blessing and had lunch. It was a pretty nice day so we took the babies out but it was a little breezy so we put up the pack n play and kept them in blankets. I had a really good time with everyone and I look forward to our reunion this summer. I have finally started going to church with the girls. Last week for Mother’s day I took them to Sacrament. They slept the whole time and today we stayed for all three hours and they slept the whole time. They were so good, I actually could listen to the lessons, it was great. Mother’s day was so nice, my family took good care of me and I am so lucky to have such great kids and a supportive loving husband. I love being a mom.
